Please don’t be a “nay-sayer”

We thank all those who have continued to exchange ideas on social media and elsewhere and remind everyone to strive for respectful dialogue. Our goal is to elevate the conversation from negativity and suspicion to useful, factual information.

As a cautionary tale in miniature, here is the Word of the Day for August 31, 2017, from www.alphadictionary.com:

“nay-sayer”

1. A pessimist, a disparager, someone who constantly disagrees or otherwise expresses negative opinions.

2. An opponent, someone who opposes something…Generally, nay-sayers are considered pessimists who say “nay” to everything.

Please pass the word to your Facebook friends and invite them to join our conversation in support of the Mohawk Valley’s new hospital. #newmvhospital
