With summer drawing to a close, our community’s largest-ever public-private project continues to take shape, and Mohawk Valley Health System is hosting a celebration at the site of #mvhsdowntown.
As of today, many properties in the project footprint have been secured–22 of 35 property owners have closed their respective deals–and the City of Utica is preparing to take action that will transfer its affected parcels. Other aspects of the project continue to move forward, with a comprehensive study underway that will explore how some existing MVHS properties could be repurposed, and hospital planners mapping how the late 2022-early 2023 move downtown will be accomplished.
MHVS and its many supporters and partners in the community have been hard at work to advance a project unlike any in the region’s history–one that will benefit the city and the larger area for decades to come. And with so much happening in recent months, it’s a perfect time for MVHS to share with the community how the new regional healthcare center will be a welcome addition to Downtown Utica.
Thursday, August 15, 4 p.m., Lafayette Street. Tell your friends and neighbors–hope to see you there!
